Do I need to wear a helmet?
Helmets are available free of charge for every bike hire. We strongly advise wearing a helmet while hiring our bikes, but should you wish to forgo our recommendation we would require the Party leader to sign an opt out waiver before release of equipment. Children under 12 years old must wear a helmet.
Payment
Payment will be taken in full at the time of booking which is refundable up to 7 days prior to hire. Any cancellation within 7 days of hire date will be non refundable.
We also accept payment by Bitcoin. Simply fill in the online booking form and request “payment by Bitcoin” in the additional information notes section, click book now and IGNORE THE PAYMENT SECTION. We will send a payment request to you.
Collection & drop off?
Collection and drop off is operated in the grounds of Petwood Hotel https://www.petwood.co.uk/location . We also offer a delivery service direct to your local accommodation, which is free of charge within a 5 mile radius of Woodhall Spa. If delivery is required please fill in the delivery section on the booking page. If you would like to collect you can leave this section blank.
Please make sure you can supply Photo ID (Passport or Driving Licence) at point of collection.
What’s included in my hire?
Helmet, inner tube, levers pump and bike lock are loaned as part of the hire charge. Additional equipment such as child seats, tagalongs and trailers are available as chargeable options.
When do I need to return equipment?
Hire duration starts from your selected collection time slot and equipment must be returned no later than 5pm on the last day of the hire period. Any late return will be charged at an additional day hire rate until the equipment is received back.
Who Can Hire?
The Party leader is responsible for the hire and must be an adult over the age of 18. The party leader must sign for and supervise under 16 year olds.
16 and 17 year olds can ride unsupervised but will not be permitted to supervise under 16’s
Can I bring my Dog?
Yes, we love dogs and have trailers available to hire. Before you decide to bring your dog along for the ride, consider if they will be comfortable in a trailer as no refunds will be given on the day if they fail to settle. We advise that you bring a towel/blanket. A short lead will be needed to attach them safely to the trailer harness.
Hygiene
We have strict hygiene protocols in place for hire equipment. Bikes will be disinfected between uses. Protective equipment will be sanitised after every use. You are also welcome to bring your own helmet if you prefer.
Apple AirTags
For added security we are installing Apple AirTags onto our bike fleet. We treat customer privacy very seriously and do not track a bike's location during hire.
We would only track a bike’s location if it is reported as stolen or lost.
If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch you may be alerted to the presence of the Airtag via a message on your device stating “AirTag Found Moving With You. The location of this AirTag can be seen by the Owner”
The AirTags will also chirp from time to time to alert you that it is present.
